Bulky Waste Collection
CETRA offers a free collection service for small bulky items, with a paid service for larger or unacceptable items that fall outside this scope. Please read the guidelines below carefully to ensure your items are collected, and to avoid a fixed penalty notice for fly tipping.
Free small bulky item collection
This service runs every Wednesday. Items must be left out on the morning of collection, before 10am, not the night before, as this is considered anti-social behaviour and a breach of your tenancy or lease conditions, and may result in a £400 fixed penalty notice for fly tipping.
Please place items at ground level outside the white block entrance gate, on the grassed or cobbled areas, taking care not to block communal bins or garages.
Acceptable items include
- small items such as toys, plastic boxes, and clothes driers
- small tables and bedside drawers
- chairs (cushions/sponge removed)
- furniture such as beds and wardrobes (must be broken down); bicycles; empty paint pots/tins; and clothes.
Unacceptable items include
- electrical items
- mattresses
- white goods (fridges, freezers, washing machines, cookers)
- carpets, plasterboard, car parts, garden waste, rubble or building waste, clinical or hazardous waste
- sofas, and paint pots/tins that aren’t empty.
If you’re unsure whether an item will be collected, please check with the CETRA Housing office before leaving it out.
Paid collection (unacceptable items)
As Lambeth Council does not currently offer a bulky waste collection service to TMO estates, CETRA provides a paid collection service for unacceptable items.
To arrange this, email photos of your items to cedars@lambeth.gov.uk, and we’ll send you a payment link based on the size and quantity of items.
Please do not leave unacceptable items with general rubbish or in recycling bins, as further action will be taken against residents who do so.
