Organic Garden

In 2009, following a consultation with Cedars Estate Residents, it was agreed that CETRA would be creating an Organic Garden on the Cedars Estate. Located beside the play area on Victoria Rise, Our Organic Garden is a unique, locally managed piece of land which allows its users to grow their own vegetation.
The Organic Garden consists of 17 plots; 10 double plots, 6 single plots and 1 raised bed for a disabled gardener. Tending to the garden is a communal effort by garden members and volunteers and those who become members of the Organic Garden will be expected to assist in keeping the garden clean and tidy.
As with other amenities, the organic garden plots will only be available for Lambeth Council Tenants or Leaseholders who are residing on the estate and who are also not in arrears with rent, service charge, shed or garage accounts.
The cost of membership for the organic garden is a one-off charge. For a single plot it will cost £10.00, and for a double plot it will cost £20.00. There are no keys required as access is sought via a coded padlock and Organic Garden Members will also benefit from the use of a Garage to store any garden equipment they may wish to use.
